In winter you are at the start of downhill ski and cross country ski slopes, at 165 feet from the French ski school and the kinde garden. Ki walk for sportmen, snowshoeing walks, ice climbing for rash people or sunbathing on the terrace are your choice.
In summer lots of footpaths (GR5 - GR58) with different level of difficulties will make you discover wonderful nature place (St Anne lake, Mirror lake, Tronchet col..) where you may meet chamois, roe deers and marmots.
Mountain biking, fishing, paragliding, tennis, volley, via ferrata, climbing, are all activities accessible during your stay.
At 10 miles away you can also perform water sports (rafting, conyonning) and horse riding. Around Ceillac, tourism can be experimented. The Queyras Regional Natural Park, wich extends over 650 square km, neighbouring Italy and benefits from an exeptional southern climate. The park counts 8 villages : Arvieux located on the Izoard Col road, Abriès and Ristolas in the end of the valley, Saint Véran : the European highest village, Chateau Queyras with the fortified castle...
Further you can admire the fortified town of Montdauphin, built by the famous architect Vauban at the en of the 17th century is today a UNESCO world Heritage site.
The Abbey of Boscodon founded in 1132 is a remarkable monument of the XII° century. Embrun Chatedral is a former Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France.
At an altitude of 1326 metres Briançon is the highest town un Europe and has old rampart. Lake Serre-Ponçon (Lac de Serre-Ponçon) is one of the largest artificial lake in western Europe.
